报告题目:High-Throughput Single Cell Analysis by Dynamic Dielectrophoretic Force Field

报告人简介张光烈博士深圳市智能机器人研究院研究员,IEEE资深会员。2003年毕业于西安交通大学人工智能与机器人研究所。2012-2015年香港城市大学客座助理教授,2015年深圳市引进海外高层次人才孔雀团队核心成员。研发中国首片去隔行视频处理芯片,获陕西省科学技术一等奖。多次获IEEE国际会议最佳论文奖。近五年,作为项目主持人承担国家自然科学基金、香港研究资助局GRF项目、深圳市科技项目等近10项,主要从事微纳米机器人、显微视觉与智能传感系统等方面的研究。

研究方向介绍: Optically-induced electrokinetics (OEK) technology has been applied widely for micro-/nano-scale manipulation, separation, and assembly, since it does not require complex fabrication or preparation processes, and it generates dielectrophoretic force field dynamically and reconfigurably. We have developed a hardware and software coordination platform to implement automatic cell kinetic analysis using vision-based motion tracking and OEK-based manipulation of cells.  In this lecture, we will demonstrate several applications related to cancer cell research using the cell-motion-tracking OEK platform, including 1) inducing self-rotation of cells with rotational characteristics that are uniquely related to the electrical and mechanical properties of each type of cell; 2) differentiation of cells by their transient acceleration response under specific OEK force fields 3) high-throughput measurement of single-cell density and mass. Our current research results show that the cell-motion-tracking OEK platform is a low cost and high efficiency biological cell kinetic analysis system for high-throughput cell differentiation and quantification applications.
